Code Lime Photography is Serena Pearce
An eye for detail, a passion for quality.
Photography has been a passion for over 30 years. Today it is a Swanbourne studio working across Perth and Western Australia, an AIPP accreditation, a teaching practice, and a fine-art store.
From small beginnings to a Swanbourne studio
Serena Pearce established Code Lime Photography in 2009. It has grown from small beginnings into a studio specialising in real estate and architecture, corporate and domestic portraiture, photography courses and tours including those run by UWA Extension, commercial work, and travel photography. She excels at attention to detail and takes pride in a professional, reliable service.
The longer version
Serena's path to photography was not a straight line, and that is the point. Her experiences have been varied and diverse. From her time as a physiotherapist, where she learned to put people at ease in any situation, to the joy of colour when designing and photographing for her former business, Hopscotch Children's Clothing, and on to a Diploma in Photography and AIPP accreditation. In any situation, her energy, enthusiasm and passion are infectious.
A love of travel has taken her further than most. She has been chased by hippos on the Okavango River, sat in the sands with the Himba, walked the mountain villages of northern Vietnam, endured the freezing dawn at Anzac Cove, welcomed sunrise at the Pushkar Camel Festival in India, and found her way through the alleyways of Marrakesh and Fes, all to capture a moment in time. Closer to home, she has shot under the stars in the Kimberley, on deserted beaches in the pristine southwest, and across the outback from Cue to Uluru to Arnhem Land, as well as her own backyard at Cottesloe beach. Many of those images are now in the Fine Art Store.

Mostly Serena, sometimes two trainers
Most shoots and many courses are Serena. On a number of courses she teaches alongside a second trainer, Andrew, which students rate highly: "It is priceless to have two trainers on such a course." If you are interested in the courses, see the Courses page for dates.
Prompt, flexible, and a magician with a camera
Serena is great to work with. We have used her to photograph our residential projects at Craig Steere Architects. The result is someone who is prompt, flexible and efficient.
Thanks so much for the photographs you took of me. You did not tell me you were a magician. For the first time in my life I am actually pleased with a photo.
